“We shot during the height of summer in Hengdian
World Studios, where the heat was intense. Each
fight scene took over a week to film. We’d spend
entire days doing wire work, which would later
be edited down to maybe ten minutes on screen.
Luckily, after some early training, I was able to
keep up physically. I genuinely felt this was a
script worth putting in the effort for.”
