“I still have a lot of experimenting to do, but I
feel back and I think the podcast is the perfect
example of that. I think it was really hard for
me to see for a minute, which was also hard
for me to talk about because I knew I sounded
like a douchebag. ‘Emma, you're making great
money. You can support yourself. Shut the fuck
up. What are you talking about, you're unhappy?’
But it was true. And all I know how to do is
tell the truth.”
Emma Chamberlain has lived a hundred lives
on the internet—YouTube icon, fashion fixture,
podcast host, red-carpet queen and coffee
connoisseur—the list goes on.
She’s been branded the funniest person on
the internet. The most popular girl in the world.
Hell, she’s the internet’s best friend. If you looked
up the definition of viral in the dictionary, her name
would be next to it. But after years of existential
whiplash, she’s finally figured out who she wants
to be. And most importantly? She’s happy.
Covering our Spring 2025 issue, she opens up
about imposter syndrome, how cancel culture
altered her brain chemistry, her obsession with
honesty, and why she’s now made the conscious
decision to enjoy, well, being Emma.
